A $200 security deposit is required at the time of rental if you choose not to use one of our company captains. Please note that we do not provide insurance. By renting one of our boats, you acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for the safe operation of the vessel during your rental period. You assume all liability for any accidents, damages, injuries, or issues that may arise while on the water, whether caused by you, your passengers, or any third parties. This includes any damage to the boat, property, or injury to individuals onboard or others in the vicinity. We highly recommend following all safety guidelines, respecting boating laws, and ensuring that all passengers are aware of proper safety procedures. You are required to provide a sober driver if operating the boat without a provided captain. We are not responsible for any loss or damages incurred during the rental.

The Bennington SLX accommodates up to 10 people with a provided captain, or 11 people if you bring your own sober driver. The Harris Cruiser accommodates up to 11 people with a provided captain, or 12 people if you bring your own sober driver.

All rentals must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled rental time. We do not accept same-day or next-day bookings under any circumstances. To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least 10 days prior to the scheduled rental date. Cancellations made within 10 days of the rental are non-refundable unless the boat is rebooked by another party for the same date and time. If the boat is successfully rebooked, a full refund will be issued. To cancel a reservation, please contact us via email at wompcityboatrentals@gmail.com In the event of severe weather conditions at the time of your rental, you will have the option to reschedule your rental for another available date within the same rental season or receive a full refund if rescheduling is not possible. Severe weather conditions include thunderstorms, and sustained winds of 13 miles per hour or higher. Please note that cloudy skies, temperature changes, light rain, and mild wind do not qualify as severe weather and do not warrant cancellations or refunds. Additionally, if wind conditions are above 8 miles per hour but below 13 miles per hour, all rentals will be automatically moved to Lake Monona for safety. If winds exceed 13 miles per hour, we may cancel or reschedule the rental at our discretion in the interest of customer safety.

To rent and drive the boat, you must be over 18 years old and have a current valid driver’s license.
